The full Bible in a new North Sami translation is expected in 2015-18. A new translation of the Old Testament to North Sami is in progress together with the Swedish and Finnish Bible Societies, and some books have already been published.
Selected texts from the Old and New Testament in South Sami are being translated together with The Swedish Bible Society.
2003: Lule Sami New Testament was translated and published together with The Swedish Bible Society.
1998: Odda Testamenta, the New Testament in North Sami was translated and produced by The Norwegian Bible Society.
1993: The Gospel of Mark in South Sami was translated and produced together with The Swedish Bible Society.
1895: Bibal, the Bible in North Sami. This Bible is made up of the revised NT from 1874 and the OT translation made by Lars Hætta. The translation was made from Norwegian to North Sami and published by the Norwegian Finn Mission and printed by Grøndahl & Søn. It still is the only full Bible in North Sami.
1874: Revisedt NT. Even though the translation made by Stockfleth was well received, it needed revision. This was done by Jens Friis and Lars Hætta, and was sponsored and published by The Norwegian Bible Society.
1840: Sami NT. Pastor Nils Stockfleth made this translation that was published by Grøndahl & Co., but financed by The Norwegian Bible Society.
